Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Lecture Summarizera ("we", "us") for using AI Study Workspace (the "Service"). By creating an account you accept them.

1. What the Service does

The Service turns lecture recordings, uploaded audio/video and YouTube videos into transcripts, summaries, notes, flashcards, quizzes and answers to your questions, using artificial intelligence.

2. Your account

Give a real name and an email address you control, and keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
One person per account. Tell us at cha4prince@gmail.com if you think someone else has used your account.

3. Credits and payments

New accounts receive 3 free credits. Each lecture you summarize uses 1 credit. Chat, re-opening and downloading your notes are free.
Credits are bought in packages. Prices are shown in naira before you pay. Payments are processed by Paystack; we never see or store your card details.
If a lecture fails to process, its credit is returned automatically.
Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and are not refundable once used. If you were charged in error, contact cha4prince@gmail.com within 14 days and we will investigate.
We may change package prices in future; this never affects credits you have already bought.

3a. Pro subscription

On the Free plan you can summarize lectures up to 20 minutes long. Pro costs ₦2,500 per month and allows lectures up to 60 minutes, with 30 lectures included each month. After those, credits are used.
Pro renews automatically every month and your card is charged ₦2,500 on each renewal date, until you cancel. You can cancel any time under Plans & billing in the app; you keep Pro until the end of the month you have already paid for, and are not charged again.
Unused included lectures do not carry over to the next month. Monthly fees already paid are not refundable, except where the law requires or if you were charged in error (contact cha4prince@gmail.com within 14 days).
If a renewal payment fails, Pro ends at the end of the paid month. If we change the price, it applies to new subscriptions; we will tell existing subscribers before any change to theirs.

4. Recording and content rules

Only record or upload lectures you have permission to record. Some lecturers and institutions do not allow recording; respecting their rules is your responsibility.
Use the Service only for your own study. Do not upload content you have no right to use, or anything unlawful, abusive or harmful.
Do not try to break, overload, copy or resell the Service, or get around its limits.

5. Your content

Your recordings, transcripts and notes remain yours. You allow us to process them only to provide the Service to you (see the Privacy Policy). Uploaded and recorded audio is deleted after it has been transcribed.

6. AI accuracy

AI-generated transcripts, notes and answers can contain mistakes or miss things. They are a study aid, not a replacement for your lectures, textbooks or lecturers. Always check important information before relying on it, especially for exams.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service running but cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. We may improve, change or stop features. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

8. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from the account menu. This permanently removes your lectures and any unused credits.

9. Liability

To the extent allowed by law, the Service is provided "as is", and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost marks, grades or opportunities.
